Accounting Clerk

Location: Sacramento, CA

Position Overview

We are looking for a reliable and detail-focused Accounting Clerk to support our on-site accounting operations in Sacramento, CA. This position assists with essential daily accounting functions such as accounts payable and receivable, accurate data entry, and maintenance of financial records. The Accounting Clerk contributes to the overall efficiency, accuracy, and compliance of our financial processes.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Handle daily accounts payable and accounts receivable activities
  • Accurately record and update financial transactions within accounting systems
  • Perform bank and general ledger reconciliations
  • Create, review, and process invoices, expense reimbursements, and payments
  • Provide support during month-end and year-end close procedures
  • Organize and maintain financial files and supporting documentation
  • Address accounting-related questions from internal teams and external partners
  • Assist with audits by gathering and preparing requested financial information
  • Complete additional accounting or administrative tasks as assigned

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of experience in an accounting, bookkeeping, or finance support role
  • Working knowledge of basic accounting concepts and practices
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel and accounting software
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet established deadlines

Preferred

  • Associate degree or relevant coursework in Accounting or Finance
  • Familiarity with ERP or accounting platforms such as QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle
  • Background working in a fast-paced or high-volume accounting environment
